Acupuncture works by stimulating the central nervous system (the brain and spinal cord) to release chemicals called neurotransmitters and hormones. These chemicals dull pain, boost the immune system and regulate various body functions.

 

Acupuncture is an ancient science and healing art technique that has existed for over 3,000 years. 

It is performed with needles inserting at the body sites called the acupuncture points.

How many treatments will you need?

 

Acupuncture treatment depends on the type, duration, and severity of your health issues.

To be effective, Acupuncture requires a series of closely-spaced consistent treatments. You cannot evaluate progress after only a few treatments.

  • Short term(acute) issues may require 3 treatments per week for up to 4 weeks.

  • Long term (chronic) issues may require 3 treatments per week for up to 12 weeks before you see consistent progress.

What is cupping therapy? 

 

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammationblood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.(Webmed)
